Forum Title: Sealcoating Tips /Ceramic tips
What’s everyone’s go to on tip size ? I stick with a 40 on drives and 50 on parking lots. I walk a little slower than most I’m sure that’s why I really don’t like the larger ones. Also ceramic tips, who uses them? I’ve heard a lot of good about them aside from them being fragile. Pros? Cons?

90% of the time I run a 70. If the asphalt is really course and I notice with 70 is not covering well or taking to long to get good coverage I will throw on a 100 and follow up with a 70 on the second coat. The only time I run a 50 is on a driveway that is mostly smooth after I start with a 70 and notice the sealer starting to puddle and being in a small area not being able to move fast enough. Sealmaster gave me a ceramic tip to try and I do notice a difference in the quality of spray and life of the tip. Yes they are fragile, just have to be careful with it. Haven’t tried anything bigger than a 50 in ceramic as they didn’t have anything bigger.
